Matt Cantor、Aston Harvey與Andrew Galea三位於80年代便出沒於英倫電舞場景的創作人合體化身的Freestylers，於Big Beat風潮即將席捲流行市場的90年代末，以首支單曲〈Drop The Boom〉一鳴驚人，隨後Andrew Galea離團，Freestylers以Matt Cantor與Aston Harvey為核心，召集MC、DJ、吉他手、Bass手、鼓手與舞者組成的大型編制，繼續音樂旅程，1998年以一曲〈B-Boy Stance〉叱吒英倫與邁阿密舞池，偕同隨後〈Don't Stop〉、〈Push Up〉、〈Boom Blast〉、〈Fasten Your Seat-Belts〉等一連串稱霸排行的經典單曲，奠定其當代碎拍天團的地位，而近年與Drum 'n' Bass班霸Pendulum合作的〈Painkiller〉，以及交由英國Dubstep小將Flux Pavilion混音創下YouTube兩千萬人點閱紀錄的〈Cracks〉，則展現了Freestylers積極向多元領域探索的野心。
2012年獲歐陸舞曲大廠Black Hole延攬後，Freestylers永不停歇的音樂冒險持續大步邁進，搶先曝光的同名單曲〈The Coming Storm〉，以Dub、Jungle、Drum 'n' Bass共冶一爐的折衷性格，透露其音樂層級再度進化的端倪，隨後令人望穿秋水的睽違六年全新專輯《The Coming Storm》，邀來Fast Eddie、Synikall、Wizard、SirReal等群星助陣，以遐邇聞名的Breakbeat生猛節拍為肌理，納入嘻哈、Dubstep、Electro等元素，掀起一場誠如其名的繽紛電舞風暴，〈Yours To Waste〉剛柔並濟的Electro House電流，〈Memories〉幽暗迷離的Dubstep色澤，〈Who Got Da Buzz〉令人聯想起Beastie Boys的地下嘻哈活力，〈You And What Army〉琅琅上口的靈騷Electro Pop曲式，〈Is It Possible〉幽異動人的Downtempo氛圍，〈The Sound〉的Acid House經典神韻，以至末段〈Fall From Grace〉逐漸凝聚的Drum 'n' Bass風暴，皆讓人再次體驗成軍超過15年的Freestyles絲毫未衰減的創作活力。
